How to report a problem in video chat
If you believe someone is trying to scam you, use Report for the account involved. The platform reviews reports and takes action against confirmed violations.
When should you use Report?
Use reporting for suspected scams, impersonation, harassment, threats, or other behavior that breaks the community rules. Tell the platform what the person did so the report can be assessed.
Reporting is different from deciding a conversation is not for you. If you simply do not want to keep talking, you can end the call or block the person without making an allegation.
What should you include in a report?
Identify the account involved and describe the incident in your own words. Include when it happened and the specific behavior that concerned you. A clear sequence of events is more useful than a general complaint.
For example, explain what someone claimed and what they asked you to do. If you are unsure whether a claim was false, say that you suspect a problem rather than adding details you cannot confirm.
What happens after you report?
The platform reviews the report. Confirmed violations can lead to penalties, including account restrictions or removal. Reporting brings the issue to the platform’s attention; an account is not punished simply because someone disliked a match.
You do not have to keep speaking with the person while the issue is being reviewed. End the call and use blocking if you do not want further contact.
What if the problem is with the service?
A camera problem or an account issue may need support rather than a report against another person. Use the help center and describe the error you encountered. That sends the question toward the right kind of help.
